You need to have a complete physical.

You might want to speak to your MD about increasing your Effexor or add something to it like Wellbutrin XL, Cymbalta or Lexapro.

I don’t know the cause of your back pain, but have you ever been evaluated for Fibromyalgia (mainly a muscularskeletal syndrome) or a thyroid problem?
If you get your thyroid checked insist the MD do the following tests: TSH, Free T4, Free T3, Calculated T4, Calculated T3.

    Good luck

ok i think your problem is that you worry about to much… you need to take a week off… relax… chill for awhile… and stop smoking… and you should try not to take so many pills aday. talk to your doctor about all of this.

You need to see your doctor and have your pills changed. Sometimes the pills just don’t work for everyone or stop working after awhile. It’s really really hard when you are in the middle of a panic attack and don’t know what to do. I remind myself that it’s mind over matter and I try to remember that what I am panicking over is really nothing. Sometimes it helps and others…not so much. I have lived with it for half of my life the last few years being really bad. All I can really say is try changing your pills. Good luck!

Stress or anxiety can bring on panic attacks. A psychologist would be the person to help you.

I suggest talking to your doctor about putting you on an anti-anxiety medication. I suffer from panic attacks (racing heart, nausea, dizziness, feeling of faint) as well and I was prescribed Klonopin (generic name: Clonazepam) which is in the benzodiazepine family. It’s used to treat seizure disorders as well as anxiety attacks. It affects the chemicals in your brain that become unbalanced and cause panic attacks.
It has made a huge difference for me, I don’t know what I would do without it. So talk to your doctor, I bet they could find something to help.

There are many different medications that you can take for panic attacks, but honestly, you’re already taking so many drugs your doctor might only be able to prescribe certain ones so they don’t interact with each other.

There are also self help techniques available that you might want to check into, as well as consider counseling.
