I’ve Citalopram 2mg 2 twice a day. I still have panic attacks. I bi-polar and taking Lamictal and Seroquel also. I felt good, plus the occasional concern for about a year. Doc has me on citalopram for the help with anxiety, but I felt no relief, but I began to feel down. doc, then sat down on the side xanax, 2 mg once daily or as needed. Now I feel good.

Celexa® is also commonly prescribed for panic disorder, OCD, PTSD, and social phobia. (but usually not for Generalized Anxiety Disorder). Anxiety disorders are generally treated with medication, specific types of psychotherapy, or both. Medications for anxiety disorders include antidepressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and beta-blockers to control some of the physical symptoms. Medication will not cure anxiety disorders, but it can keep them under control while the person receives psychotherapy.

Citalopram or cypramil is usually prescribed for depression that goes with panic attacks or anxiety. 2mg’s is a very low dosage the usual dosage is 20mg a day. Maybe you need to up the dosage to feel any benefit. There are not usually any bad side effects.
