Am I having panic attacks? What causes them? What can I do to get rid of them?
Several times today, and some times in the past, I have had weird dizzy spells that I believe to be panic attacks. They last for about half a minute, with an increased heart rate that lasts for ten to fifteen minutes. During the attacks, I have what can only be described as a sense of impending doom. It is also accompanied with very strong nausea, but no vomiting. Once, it even felt like my body temperature went up a lot, but only for the duration of the attack. I have had no symptoms outside of these attacks.
If this sounds like a panic attack, what causes them? Is there any (preferably medicine-free) way to cure them?

Well, its 6:17 am and I fear going to sleep because I have this feeling I’m going to die( I know its related to panic disorder ). I drank about 4oz. of Rum a bud light and a 8 oz. cosmo mix drink. I would like to know what causes panic/anxiety attacks and why I have Aspergers Disorder?
I have had panic/anxiety attacks since I turned 14 or around 8th grade. I did have a normal childhood but not as normal as others since I didn’t have many friends or I didn’t go to daycare as much and I always asked alot of questions and often got frustrated and angry and had tantrums, I moved to America when I was 7 I was born in Estonia. I got teased alot in Elementary and Middle school. Now that I’m 17 years old I’ve begun to understand myself more and know myself, I’ve been through alot in my life, good and bad. I’m very shy and its hard for me to communicate/ make friends. Last year I was in alot of stress and I mean alot, I started having severe panic attacks and I almost felt like dying, thats how bad they were. I ended up in the hospital, had no idea what was going on. They gave me alot of medication in the hospital, I got transferred into a mental hospital though, and from there on they discovered I had Aspergers Disorder, I also had Panic/ Anxiety Disorder. Im much better now

Does anybody out there know what causes their panic attacks?
I’ve had them for years now. At first I couldn’t even get on a bus cause I felt “out of control” and each time the bus went round a corner I felt like I was on a roller coaster, you know that weird feeling in your chest when you go down a steep incline on a coaster, only worse. You should see me on a plane during take off now !! It’s kinda calmed down a bit over the years but even to this day I get panic attacks. It comes in various forms from felling kind of hollow inside, suddenly having to do something like tap my foot or fingers etc to try and knock my self out of it and bring myself “back”. I also sometimes feel like I don’t have a body at times.Most of these symptoms are accompanied with a very VERY fast heart rate, that tingle in the stomach and chest, it’s really hard to explain in words, but if you’ve been through one, you’ll know exactly what I mean. I was actually at a job interview yesterday and took a panic attack, I was pretty lucky that it was a group information session that I took the attack but the real issue was that I had to give an individual presentation straight after,,,, all eyes on me, not good but I survived, just. Thank god the one on one interview isn’t for another week !! Anyway, I’m wondering if anybody has worked out any specific information as to what sets their attacks off. I think everybody will be different, but I’d really like to compare what sets it off in different people. Also, what do you guys do to get over it ? Have you ever had one in a really bad place, i.e. job interview, giving a speech or what ever. Does anybody have any real horror stories that they’d like to share.

I’m writing a story and I want to make a person who can’t die except from natural causes, and I want to make sure there’s no such word for it yet. Please help if there is a word for it!

What causes Panic Attacks?
I am having major panic attacks. I’ve gotten them all my life but lately I’m really getting them. I’m on different meds for a back injury and I thought maybe it was because of that and stress but now I’m so scared that it may be something else. Do you know what usually causes them?
