I know someone that is being treated for panic attacks associated w/ an anxiety disorder.

Currently, they have been taking Zolfot for about 8 years. However, I have known this person for about 3 years. I have found that over the past 3 years, this person has changed significantly.

All of the issue they are having, happen to be side effects of Zolfot. This includes weight gain, drowsiness, a general lack of energy and interest and (from what I’ve heard) a lack of sexual desire.

I suggested this person stop taking the medication, but they are scared the panic attacks might start again.

I suffer from the chronic tension headaches, insomnia, numbness, body tremors, and sometimes irregular heart rate which would suggest something like GAD, but my real concern is with the severe… and I mean severe to almost the point of psychosis like panic attacks. I exercise everyday and I am not sure if certain medications prevent me from vigorous exercise i.e. side effects like low blood pressure, vertigo etc etc… I also suffer from insomnia and I understand that certain meds can make insomnia worse. I am a teenager and I have had a Panic disorder and anxiety for almost a year now. So far I have been handling it pretty well, but sometimes I just can’t control my thoughts, I begin to question myself and my sanity. Sometimes I get scared that I will go insane and have to be locked up in an asylum Is there any way to stop this unreasonable thinking process of mine. I don’t want to be insane!

I have anxiety disorder. I am constantly clenching my jaw and also my hands are always in fists and never relaxed.
I also panic if I am getting ready to go somewhere I will start sweating and I get sick to my stomach. Like a panic attack.

My mother says to see a doctor about it.
