i feel like it has been long enough (3 1/2 years) that this shouldn’t be happening!! i want some control over my damn mind and body, already. it isn’t that my boyfriend is pressuring me. i’m just as up for it as he is. but i start to have my old panic attack symptoms when penetration starts, so we stop, i go home and punch stuff, and he feels awful.

the only way i have managed to have consensual sex, is once, i drank 6 beers. i hardly remember anything. my boyfriend felt really bad about it and didn’t want to try anything for a few weeks. (i quit drinking in august.)

but i am determined to have control over my body and have some damn sex if i want to.

is there anyone here who has actually has a good sex life now? how did you do it? did it get better with time?

For two years I suffered from depression and panic attacks and was unable to drive and leave the house. Now, I feel I am much better but I will panic if I know someone is coming to visit or if I have an appointment to go to. I only leave home when absolutely have to and have not driven in two years.

This is a serious problem and I need help. How do I began going out without a severe panic attack or why I am afraid to drive when I never was before? Why would I not want anyone to visit and it makes me nervous and panicky? I have to get over this, I cannot continue to stay in bed the rest of my life.

She started having panic attacks in the mourning and blackouts. She went to the Doctor and he perscribed anti-depressants for her and told her she had a chemical inbalance. The Doctor didn’t test her or anything he just asked her question for about ten minutes then perscribed anti-depressants. He later then got his license to practice medicine taken away. Her panic attacks went away but eventually she will have to go off the medication. I have been reading about panic attacks and I am psych major so I understand a little bit about the brain and disorders can anyone help shed more light on the subject of panic attacks and black outs?

About a year ago I collapsed at work, was taken to the hospital, felt awful. They did loads of tests and couldn’t find anything. I was diagnosed as having a panic attack. Since then I have reoccuring symptoms when I am in the subway etc. What is a good way to cope with it and cure it?

I have anxiety attacks sometimes, ususally caused by being far from home, far from a hospital, or about having a panic attack (as silly as that sounds). For spring break I have decided to drive to California from Colorado with my friends because I don’t want to be crippled like this anymore. However, we will be very far from home or a hospital as we drive through Arizona. If I have a panic attack, what is the best way to stop it? Breathing usually doesn’t help nor do my medications. Any tips?
